First of all, how well is the screen? Samsung Note 4 has a big 5.7" screen, and iPhone 6 Plus also has a big screen too, 5.5", the biggest screen size ever in Apple history. iPhone 6 Plus has 1080P resolution, and Note 4 has the amazing 2K resolution! Theoretically note 4 has the better screen performance than Apple, while actually they may not vary much.
What material are they made of? Most parts of Samsung Note 4 are still plastic, while it applies a little synthetic leather to enhance its luxury feeling. And Apple remain the metal material, aluminum touches more technological and more deluxe.
How well is the camera? Apple still uses 8 million pixels rear camera, and Note 4 takes marvelous 16 million pixels! Well at this point, Samsung seems to have exceeded Apple much.
Do you need a longer battery life time? Samsung series can always allow you to replace the battery anytime. In this case, you may need a galaxy note 4 when you're in an occasion without the power charging while you need a long battery support.
Do you need a big storage? Samsung galaxy series always allows you to add extra TF card memory if you need a bigger storage. And Apple's storage is pre built in and fixed. So you need to decide how much storage you need before you buy an iPhone 6 Plus.
Do you need a number of FREE mobile software? There are thousands of android free software for Samsung, while lots of Apple software may have to cost you money.
Personally i would take an iPhone 6 Plus, because i once had a Galaxy Note, it ran slower after years, while my wife's iPhone 4 still remained fast.
